The last 48 hours from our living room to yours - getting filmed by 60 Minutes, Australia
J.Walker and I have just spent the last 48 hours in an amazing whirlwind. We travelled to Seattle to be filmed by 60 Minutes Australia on a really cool story that involves our relationship, relationships in general, and our creative, music lives. What a unique opportunity. The cool part was having the crew in our living room at home in Los Angeles, and then them filming our show at Kulaks in North Hollywood on Saturday night. So, sometime in April we will go from our living room to yours! We’ll keep our Aussie friends posted of the air date, and for those in the rest of the world, hopefully it will be archived on their website online. We will remember this experience for the rest of our lives. Andy Warhol once said “you only get 15 minutes of fame in your life time”. Maybe this 15 min 60 Minute segment is it. Ha ha. What fun!

The KEY TO SURVIVAL AND SUCCESS in the music business of TODAY is to be a unique artist, in charge of your own destiny. It means you need to be an artist entrepreneur. In order to be powerful as an artist, you have to be very business artist. You need to be very self driven and business savvy. You don’t need to know everything about the business (you can go to experts for advice) but you are in control. If you want it to be life long, you have to be a visionary. You have to be able to think outside the box and “feel” it inside. A lot of inner work is required. So while you are working on your craft and techniques on the outside, you have to work on your mindset on the inside.

G'day peaceful warriors... What a thankful November. I'm so truly blessed to be doing what I do in this creative world I live in. Really nice to have your email company for a moment as I share with you my monthly newsletter. Lots of juice this month. A speaking engagement at MIMICon in Hollywood, last gig for the year will be on December 1 in L.A for Songsalive! Xmas Party, and 2 wonderful shows in Australia with Grace Knight 2nd and 3rd January and you need to book early to get a seat. I'm selling my beautiful 16-track digital recorder. It has a cd burner inbuilt. I've used it about 3 times ONLY. I love it. It's in PERFECT order. But I've migrated over to recording directly to protools on my mac. So it's not being used. This is perfect for anyone who wants to record at home, or live at a gig. It comes with a soft black carry padded carry bag. Mine also is the 40GB version!
$400 plus - I will ship for another $50 US only. Or come to my place in Sherman Oaks, California to pick up.

Songsalive! president, gilli moon, meets Julia Gillard, Australia's Deputy Prime Minister
It was a casual affair, but everyone was suited up and Gilli wore her party frock. In their conversation, Gilli spoke about Songsalive! and how it has developed from Sydney Australia, into the largest international non-profit organization for songwriters and composers worldwide, now with its second base in Los Angeles. "The international focus of the organization", Gilli revealed to Julia, "is to be a door stop for Australian songwriters and composers when coming to America, as well as creating synergy and collaboration between Australian and American songwriters and composers."
Gilli also gave Julia a copy of her extraOrdinary life CD. "Oh Good", Julia said. "I'll have something to play in the car while I'm here!"
